1. The Series Should've Ended With A TV Movie

It's obvious that this final season was desperately reaching to find enough material to fill even eight episodes, and so it probably would've just made more sense to finish it off with a two-hour TV movie finale instead.

It's unclear where the decision was made to still produce eight episodes - did Netflix want as many streaming minutes as possible, or was it for the benefit of the crew's jobs? - but in terms of artistic integrity, a shorter and more concise film ending clearly would've turned out less frustrating.

Instead, even these eight episodes are mostly a chore to get through, and it wouldn't be surprising at all if many fans either drop the season long before its final episode or simply scrub their way to the finale to see how it ends.

So, it's a bad season, then, but it's not quite all bad. Here are the few things House of Cards gets right in its final stretch...
