How DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Became The BEST Arrowverse TV Show
3. It Doesn't Overstay Its Welcome
When discussing a show's qualities, rarely do you praise the reduced quantity of episodes. Yet, Legends of Tomorrow's brevity gets a spot on this list of pros because it serves as a response to the generally over-extended seasons of other Arrowverse shows.
Whereas Arrow and The Flash have 23-episode seasons, each Legends of Tomorrow season never goes beyond late teens.
Because of this, writers don't have to stretch out plots and character arcs beyond belief and simply get a leaner, more quality-driven season. Fluff-heavy episodes do more than just take up a slot in a watchlist, they can mess with the overall pacing of the season, halting the momentum and diluting the watching experience.
When you, as an audience member, feel like the creatives are showing you their best work instead of giving you 45 minutes of 'time killer' content, it does wonders. Nobody wants their time wasted, and Legends of Tomorrow puts in the work (both creatively and structurally), to never let viewers feel short of meaningful content.
