How Every Season Of American Horror Story Is Connected

4. Freak Show Is Connected To Roanoke

American Horror Story

Freak Show not only focused on Fräulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities, but also centered around Dandy Mott - the charming and handsome socialite who had a very, very dark side.

Dandy was unhinged, and made it his mission to murder anyone that he could, and he even took up the mantle of Twisty when the clown was killed. It was made clear that there was a certain degree of madness in the Mott family, and even Dandy's mother was a tad eccentric.

American Horror Story would once again revisit the Mott family during Roanoke, when haunted farmhouse dwellers Matt and Shelby discovered that the house was originally built by a man named Edward Philippe Mott.

Played by Evan Peters in the 'documentary' section of Roanoke, Edward was also a bit over the top, and he was a weatlthy and rich socialite - much like Dandy - although he never exhibited murderous traits, unlike his descendant.
