After Friends, it was hard to imagine another show like it. Could we ever find another couple to obsess over like Ross and Rachel? Could we ever find a funnier guy than Chandler Bing? The answer is, probably not, but when How I Met Your Mother entered the sitcom universe, it came pretty close.
The show first aired back in 2005 when we first introduced to Ted Mosby, a love-struck twenty-something who was telling his kids the story of how he met their mother. It was a pretty long and eventful story, but after nine years, we finally found out who the mother was.
While the ending wasn't exactly a fairytale one, the journey to it was definitely an epic one. We were introduced to many characters on Ted's journey, some definitely more memorable than others.
