How I Met Your Mother: The Worst Things Each Main Character Has Done

3. Ted Mosby - Pressured Robin Into Ditching Her Dogs

How I Met Your Mother
CBS

For over 200 episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Ted Mosby is made out to be a charming, sweet, hopeless romantic who is constantly failing in his love life despite being such a good guy. However, if you take a closer look at the "perfect guy" Ted Mosby, you'll soon discover that he does indeed have a dark side to him.

In season 2 episode 16 titled Stuff, Ted and Robin are enjoying the sweet honeymoon phase of their new relationship until she realises that half of Ted's possessions have come from ex girlfriends. After a group vote, Ted is forced to get rid of his stuff but soon finds out that Robin is also harbouring some presents from exes - her five dogs.

Angered by Robin's hypocrisy he tells her to get rid of her poochies because whenever he sees them, he sees the faces of her former lovers. Robin eventually sees Ted's side and gives them away to a farm upstate (NOT a euphemism for having them put down).

Although having 5 dogs in a small apartment in Manhatten is far from ideal, Ted has no right to manipulate Robin into getting rid of her dogs!

I see my role at WhatCulture the same way my wife sees my role as a lover: I contribute in a very small way, my presence is barely noticeable and I’m not entirely sure if the laughter is at me or with me.
