How To Get Away With Murder: How They Got Away With The Murders

1. Sam Keating

Ah, the OG murder and basis for season 1. Sam Keating is the essentially the baddie and central part of How To Get Away With Murder’s origin story.

The killing made it one and done for Wes Gibbins, who would suffer a similar fate himself in season 3. Wes had been forced to act after finding Sam strangling Rebecca Sutter during a botched investigation, killing him with blows from the trophy which was supposed to be awarded to one of the group for outstanding academic achievement.

This murder was integral in bonding together the main characters in secrecy and would lead to the completely messed up relationships between them going forward. After much to-ing and fro-ing, the students resolved to dispose of the corpse after a few messy attempts, indicating an inexperience that would soon change. This would be the main item on the eventual indictment of Annalise, but like with all others, she would emerge not guilty.
