It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Things That Need To Happen Before The Show Ends
2. Mac Finds Love
The gang's love lives are not as explicit as many other sitcom romances. While shows like The Big Bang Theory, Friends and many more like to pair off their characters with partners, Always Sunny seems to have thrown that by the wayside - save for characters like the waitress and Maureen Ponderosa, and we all know how those turned out.
Romance is a dead art in the series, and the writers have even poked fun at this by making the episode "Charlie and Dee Find Love" deliberately pessimistic by its end. But one character we all want to find a companion, even if it's just for one episode, is Mac.
When Mac came out of the closet and became open about his sexuality, it was a huge turning point for his character, but it also opened up plenty of directions for comedy. Seeing him bring someone back to the apartment would likely rile Dennis up, as he would fear losing his power over Mac. Additionally, the others would probably hate seeing Mac in a committed relationship, and attempt to tear it down.
Ultimately, it would just be nice to see him finally with someone as himself, and not as a performance. Even if it ends in disaster (which is definitely would) it's something that fans would love to witness.
