It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Charlie Kelly
He’s illiterate, addicted to
countless substances, is forced to do the most menial tasks around the bar, and
has some truly disgusting eating habits (milk steak, anyone?), but despite all
his faults it’s impossible not to adore Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day).
The janitor of Paddy’s Pub and Philadelphia’s foremost legal expert on bird law, Charlie always has a terrible idea up his unwashed sleeve that is never thought through. By far the least bright in the group, Charlie is constantly manipulated by his peers and rejected by those around him.
But no matter how hard life gets for him, Charlie’s willingness to do whatever it takes for his friends and how he genuinely seems to care about whatever ludicrous plan is being hatched makes him the most endearing part of the show. We just want to see him catch a break for once.
Of course, Charlie wouldn’t be as iconic a part of Always Sunny if it weren’t for Kelly’s shining performance. Pouring so much energy into the role, watching him bounce off his co-stars is always a joy to watch.
He’s always the funniest part of a scene and we can’t wait to see more of him in future seasons.
