It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
6. Season Six
Season six offered up a lot of change within the gang. For starters, Dee becomes pregnant (thanks to Kaitlin Olson's real-life pregnancy), Dennis gets married, and an extra-long episode sees Charlie confront a Santa for sleeping with his mother. It's an hilarious and very well-crafted season with a lot of great guest spots and iconic stand-alone episodes.
The strongest episodes of the season are its most simple. In "The Gang Buys a Boat", the gang try to fix up a boat whilst battling for power. And in "Mac and Charlie: White Trash", Mac and Charlie try to renovate a pool but end up trapped and trying to convince themselves they're not white trash.
There are, as ever, some issues, mainly with the episode "Mac's Mom Burns Her House Down", which feels a bit too much like filler to stand-up next to the rest of season. Even then, though, season six is a no-nonsense slice of comedy gold that hits all the right notes. It's a testament to the quality of the other seasons that it's not higher on this list.
