It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

7. Season Three

Its Always Sunny
FX

The longest chapter of the show, season three doubles down on the insanity introduced in its predecessor.

Thanks to the length of the season, fans got more time than ever to really dig into just how terrible, twisted and messed-up the gang could be, and the results show a season with numerous classic episodes and only two major issues in the episodes "The Gang Gets Whacked (Part 1/2)" and "Dennis Looks Like a Registered Sex Offender", both of which just aren't up to the standard of Sunny at its best.

Season three comes complete with an epic dance-off, an insane hostage situation, a serial killer, a dumpster baby, and an episode in which Frank repeatedly sets Sweet Dee on fire. It ushered in another level of darkness and daring to the show, and cemented Always Sunny as a show unlike any other on TV.
