Jack Bauer vs Walter White: Who's The Most Badass Character?

3. Most Badass Moment

Jack: It's tough to choose just one, so here's a few highlights - when Jack thinks Kim is dead at the end of season one, he goes berserk, cleaning house as a one-man wrecking crew. Then there's him killing Nina, hijacking a plane single-handedly, surviving a nuclear bomb, cutting a guy's head off, biting a guy's throat out, and cutting Chase's hand off, because who likes Chase anyway? Walter: Walt's badassery was a little slower coming as it required a transformation, but his throwing of an explosive crystal of fulminated mercury in Tuco's office after he beats up Jesse and steals his meth is certainly up there. Then there's the events following Tomas' death, where Walt saves Jesse from certain death by running the dealers responsible over with his car, and executing the surviving one with a gunshot. Oh, and rigging up Hector Salamanca's wheelchair with a bomb in order to reduce Gus Fring to skeletal goop. Genius and awesome. WINNER: Jack is so badass that it seems effortless for him, whereas Walt's ascent to badassery seemed to mean a little more, such that when we saw him mow down those two dealers and pop a cap in one, we couldn't quite believe what we were seeing. This is the toughest category yet, but it just barely goes to Walt.
