Jessica Jones: 11 Things From The Comic They Didn't Show

10. Relationship With Daredevil

Many people were pining for Daredevil to appear in Jessica Jones, but the creators did the smart thing by leaving that particular interaction for future series or possibly The Defenders. It was Jessica€™s time to shine and she needed to establish her own world, in which Luke Cage plays a very big part. Matt Murdock is a much more prominent figure in Alias. Murdock is originally hired by Luke Cage in order to represent Jessica after she is brought into custody for questioning about Miranda€™s murder (the acquaintance of Steve Rogers who was killed as part of the conspiracy) and continues on as her lawyer. Later on in the series, the tables are turned when Daredevil finds that he is in need of Jessica€™s assistance due to his secret identity being exposed to the world. Jessica and Cage act as bodyguards for Matt, the victim of a cruel ploy by Bendis, who was also writing Daredevil at the time, to paint the next writer of Daredevil into a corner, as a sort of €˜follow that€™. I personally would have had him murder a box of kittens and then write the lyrics to Hotline Bling with their innards. Try following that, next guy.
