In Jessica Jones it is Patsy Walker, a superhero who goes by the name of Hellcat in the comics, who plays the role of Jessicas estranged BFF. In Alias, it is Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, who is Jessicas friend and link to the superhero world that she was once a part of. Despite blowing Jessica off the first time, due to her cold medicine and period disrupting her mood, Carol and Jessica rekindle the friendship that they once shared before Jessica decided to ditch her costume. Noting that Jessica could use a good old fashioned team up, Carol is content to put the past behind her and allow Jessica back into her life. It is through Carol that the inner workings of the private lives of Marvels premier heroes are revealed as together they discuss important topics, such as whether or not Thor truly knows how to put the hammer down. Carol wants nothing more than to set Jessica up with one of the heroes that she fights alongside and this leads to Jessica eventually dating Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, another prominent figure in the series.
