Kiefer Sutherland Joins TV Pilot TOUCH

Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, has a new pilot in development at Fox, about a father who discovers that his mute, autistic son can predict future events. Kiefer Sutherland has now joined the project, playing the father character, with filming scheduled to begin in May. Touch's pilot may be directed by Charles McDougall, who has previously helmed the pilots for Desperate Housewives and The Good Wife. If Touch gets picked up for a series, which I predict it will, it's not known how this will affect production on the long-awaited 24 movie, which Sutherland hopes will start filming early next year. It helps that both projects are with Fox, who will likely do what they can to ensure Sutherland's TV schedule doesn't clash with his movie commitments. In related news, Tony Scott (Man On Fire, Unstoppable) is still circling the 24 movie with an eye to directing, although the script is being rewritten after Fox were unhappy with Billy Ray's submitted draft.
