Kingdom Come - 10 Things Arrowverse Fans Need To Know Before Crisis On Infinite Earths

3. Marvel's Sacrifice

Kingdom Come Superman
DC Comics/Alex Ross

Speaking of said sacrifice, just when the third nuclear warhead appears destined to wipe out all the superhumans, Captain Marvel is finally freed of his enslavement by Superman.

Realizing the situation at hand, Billy Batson chooses to make the ultimate sacrifice. After getting Superman out of his way, Marvel flies into the missile and uses his magic to detonate the warhead in mid-air, killing him in the process.

Straightaway this draws comparison to another aspect of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline we are about to see. We already know that Oliver Queen is most likely going sacrifice his life for the multiverse, although that most likely will not involve nuclear missiles. Which does invite the question; could someone else from the Kingdom Come universe be about to showcase a similar kind of heroism as Marvel did in the comics?
