Last Night's TV: WILFRED Episodes 9-13 Review

The madness continues as Wilfred and Ryan smoke weed, hatch plans and both try to capture the love of Jenna.

The madness continues as Wilfred and Ryan smoke weed, hatch plans and both try to capture the love of Jenna. With last night on the telebox being a bit slow and my brain aching from a hard weekend I decided to chillax and watch the rest of Wilfred series 1. As the episodes roll on the series shows no signs of normality and continues with the hilarity it started with. Through the final episodes Ryan becomes a loner and Wilfred tries to make him a member of the neighbourhood pack. He does so by robbing cars when Ryan decides to be the only person not to attend the neighbourhood meeting to plan the annual block party. When the neighbours turn on Ryan Wilfred then plants the stolen stuff in the playhouse of a local child. The pair also manage to ruin Jenna€™s career when she eats a marijuana candy left in Ryan€™s house just before she is due on the air as the new 12 o€™clock news anchor. Ryan plans to leave town with a beautiful Italian woman he meets on the beach, but gives it up to help Jenna. The series finishes with Ryan saving Jenna€™s job but going back to his old ways as a lawyer. As he plays people off against one and other in order to get Jenna to split up with Drew so he can get Jenna for himself. In one final attempt to save Jenna and win her over Ryan asks Wilfred to do what ever it takes and he throws himself in front of a car. As everything back fires on Ryan he appears to lose everyone. Then it ends. And I was left confused. Despite the dodgy ending the show carries a lot of laughs and even a bit of depth. In between the weed smoking, madness of a man in a dog suit humping a giraffe and taking a dump in a neighbours boot after breaking into his house there were little moral messages. Its not overly deep, how can it be with a man in a dog suit smoking a bong, but does explore a persons morals, identity or life in each episode. Wilfred has been a blast and I cannot wait for the second series!
