Legion: 10 Reasons It's The Best Superhero TV Show Of All Time

6. A Breathtaking Visual Style

Legion has become renowned for its visual effects in rather short order and for a good reason: they are utterly marvelous and unabashedly bizarre. Within the first few minutes of Chapter 1, it is made abundantly clear that your eyes and brain are in for twisted treat and from there on out, the show never lets up.

Moreover, the effects are so creative and so well done that they could honestly pass for move-quality at certain points. When you first see David's breakdown that causes the explosion of items in the kitchen, it becomes apparent just how much care and work went into creating this show's visuals and it only gets more impressive from there.

The special effects aren't all that makes Legion so appealing to the eyes, however. There is also an abundance of imaginative set design that makes the world of Legion truly feel like one all its own.

Then, we have the peerless cinematography, which was just as lovingly executed as the effects and sets. The camerawork is stellar and the show's format will often change depending on the mood or feel of what's currently happening on-screen. Not to mention some beautiful and seamless transitions that are liable to make you do a double-take, as well as some cleverly-hidden Easter eggs that you'll likely need to watch the series more than once to catch.

All of these things work in conjunction and create what can only be described as a visual masterpiece.
