5. David Meets His Rational Mind... Who Is British
Later in Chapter 7, David finds himself trapped in some sort of coffin, both literally and metaphorically, at the hands of Farouk. He starts to violently panic until he realizes that he's not alone... Well, technically he is, because the person who ends up joining him is himself, or rather, his rational mind.
David's rational mind then begins speaking to him in a British accent. When David questions this, the other simply replies with "I'm British because I'm the rational part of you." (Although, this is possibly a reference to David's biological father, Charles Xavier.)
In effort to get David to get a hold of himself and figure out what's going on, his rational mind projects him into what resembles a university classroom with a massive chalkboard. He then instructs David to use what he already knows to figure out the rest. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, it seems.
After David draws on the chalkboard, his drawings come to life and start animating an apparent battle that once took place between Farouk and his father. A fun sequence, overall.
