Legion: 6 Ups & 1 Down From 'Chapter 2'

2. Romance Of The Mind

Another strength of the first episode was the relationship between David and Syd, a fellow patient who apparently didn't like to be touched, though we realise that the reasoning isn't just in her head.

Although the two can't make contact, they begin a sweet relationship with one another - with just the one tiny wrinkle of them switching bodies for a bit - and while this episode expands the scope to include more characters and greater focus on David's past and powers, there's still time to explore their relationship.

The two share a few strong moments together, such as on the swings or when he inadvertently hears her thoughts about him, and they have a "romance of the mind." In some regards it's a love story we've seen before, two outcasts, star-crossed lovers, but the fact they cannot touch each other puts a unique spin on it, while you still get to experience all the feelings of longing they have for each other.
