Locke & Key Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

1. The Totally Underwhelming Ending

No spoilers here, but the season's final episode sadly fails to resolve things in a particularly satisfactory fashion, nor provide a compelling setup for the expected second season.

Even ignoring the slapdash bombardment of wonky CGI during a frantic climactic set-piece, there's a final rug-pull waiting for fans that, while perhaps unexpected, doesn't land with quite the intended mind-blowing impact.

It's more of a shrug-worthy, "Oh, really?", moment than it is a genuinely jaw-dropping one, and suggests a relatively underwhelming direction for season two, if it happens of course.

Locke & Key has plenty of flaws for audiences to deal with, then, but there's also a lot that does make it worthwhile. Here's everything the show gets right...
