Loki: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

Marvel Studios have done a fantastic job of surrounding the stars of their Disney+ shows with incredible characters, but never compromised on exactly who the story is about. Unsurprisingly in Loki, by far the greatest character was the God of Mischief himself, Loki.

MCU fans have enjoyed nine years of Loki development since his defeat to the Avengers in New York, as he ultimately died a hero’s death at the hands of Thanos. This version of Loki however, was coming mere moments after his attempted conquering of Earth, but he still managed to go through an incredible journey and come out the other side almost completely different.

He no longer wants his throne, he doesn’t want to rule, and he was able to admit to himself that he is just a scared child that wants the approval and love of those around him. He fell in love with a Variant of himself, though she was still very different, but even then was able to sacrifice his own happiness to try and save the universe. In the end however, he lost in the same way he always has.

Tom Hiddleston’s performance as Loki was up there with Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda in terms of Marvel’s Disney+ corner, as he took the audience on a rollercoaster of emotion. He was a spoilt brat, a would-be dictator, a cunning investigator, a back-stabbing betrayer, a hopeless romantic, a selfless hero, and at last a friend, all within a six episode span, delivered with the same consistent brilliance that Hiddleston has brought to the role for ten years. This however, was his crown jewel performance.
