Speaking of real-life events, did Loki just cause Pompeii?
Loki has done some exceptionally diabolical things in the past. He has committed genocide on Frost Giants, almost destroyed Manhattan, banished Odin from Asgard, and pretend to be a snake in order to stab an eight year old Thor.
Since this version of Loki has yet to be humbled by years of being thwarted by Thor, this could be an indication that Loki is spreading his own chaos throughout history.
For a brief moment, the God of Mischief can be seen with an oncoming smoke cloud sweeping through what looks to be the streets of Pompeii. He stands there almost triumphantly, as Mobius backs into a doorway.
With the decor and buildings mixed with time travel, it stands to reason that they have somehow wound up in Pompeii during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
