Lost: How It Should Be Re-Cast In 2021
1. Jack Shephard - Charlie Cox
As far as leading men go, Jack is a mixed bag. He's an incredibly compelling character, with plenty of flaws and a sorrow-filled backstory. But, at the same time, he's somewhat vanilla, meaning his centric episodes were dull at times. However, it was all carried through by the outstanding performance from Matthew Fox, so whoever gets the role needs to step up.
Charlie Cox is easily the man who can, as he's got all the qualities of a fantastic leading man, whilst chucking in the kind of unconventionality that kept Fox's performance engaging.
Cox skirts the line between a Hollywood actor and an average Joe finely, which would make his version of Dr Jack Shephard believable and relatable. Plus, Cox's look and acting style could quickly emit the feeling of authority and intelligence that made Jack a strong leader.
He has made it clear with his leading role in Daredevil that he's more than capable of carrying the weight of a series on his back, and this central figure is something that would fit right into his wheelhouse.
