Lost: How It Should Be Re-Cast In 2021

One of Lost's first big mysteries were the terrifying "others", a group of island inhabitants who seemed to have it in for our heroes. This sense of Us vs. Them took up the first few seasons, but eventually, the lines became blurred, especially in their leader, Ben.

Ben has two major qualities that need to be captured; the first is a sense of villainy. Although he's not the most conventional-looking bad guy, Ben is a manipulative liar who is a master at influencing others, meaning the actor would need to be creepy and unsettling. However, at the same time, they need to convince the audience that they can eventually redeem themselves, meaning there's a likeability required too.

So, who better than The Polka Dot man himself, David Dastmalchian? This actor has proven that he's capable of being a terrifying and unsettling creep (just see his small role in The Dark Knight for that), but has also shown a lighter and more sympathetic side.

He's currently riding high thanks to The Suicide Squad, so he'd be a perfect fit in this major antagonist-turned-uncertain ally.
