1. Other Characters? Who Needs Them?
Okay, I think we've established that "Louie" is brilliant, and "works" when it really shouldn't. But, how in the world can a television series survive when it only revolves around one character? Sure, Louie's kids are always around, but it's not like they contribute much to the overall product. Really, it's just Louie, and the people he comes in contact with. That's unheard of, right? There has to be an ensemble cast for a show to be complete. Well, with every other show, that would be the case, but with "Louie", we only need Louie. That, itself, speaks volumes, and sums up exactly why the show is so brilliant.
