Love, Death, And Robots is undoubtedly Tim Miller's project with his directing, writing, and producing credits for the show. His expertise and history with highly-detailed CG animation are put on full display and it is really remarkable to behold. While many probably know him best as the director of the first Deadpool movie, he got his start with those cinematic trailers for video games like Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic and the infamously-great Arkham Origins trailer with Deathstroke.

His focus nowadays may be more live-action projects, but LDR helps remind audiences what level of quality his animated projects can achieve. Each of Blur Studio's contributions to the show shows off the company's superb flexibility. 'Shape Shifters' provided hyper-realistic CG animation, 'Sonnie's Edge' and 'Suits' utilize striking 2D animation, with their final addition 'Ice Age' mixing live-action with animation. Each one is notably impressive in their own way and stands out among the 18 episode total.

Miller's selection on which studio took on each short was also top-notch. You can tell that each studio worked with confidence on their respective project, allowing each to feel like they would warrant their own standalone show. It's unclear how much David Fincher influenced the show, but Miller's presence undoubtedly strengthened every facet.
