Before going any further, it just should be said how important it is to have a TV series like Love, Victor on the air (or in the streaming world). No, it isn't the first time a TV show has told (or even prioritised) a teen gay romance but to see one headline a show that looks and feels like every other teen romcom (not-to-mention the fact that it's a spin-off of the first major Hollywood movie to ever do so) is a major step in the right direction in terms of representation.

Love, Victor tells a queer love story in the same way that American TV has told so many heterosexual love stories, tackling conversations about love, sex and once again going a long way in highlighting that love is love.

The second season goes about it in different and arguably more striking ways than its predecessor. As for how it accomplishes that, well let's find out...
