Luke Cage Season 2: What The Ending Means For The Netflix Marvel Universe

1. Heroes For Hire

Despite the Iron Fist appearing in this season of Luke Cage, Luke's friendship with Danny is yet to be fully fleshed out, with it being obvious that Rand is the Defender he is currently closest to, despite his lack of belief in all the "mystical mumbo-jumbo".

In the tenth episode of the season, Power Man and Iron Fist teamed up, teasing fans with the classic Heroes For Hire pair. As the Heroes For Hire story arc is such a pivotal part of both characters, the writers at Marvel surely would not want to waste the opportunity to see it come to fruition in a future series (whether that be a mini-series like The Defenders or within a season of Iron Fist or Luke Cage).

This appearance of Rand, while relatively brief, is probably Finn Jones' best portrayal of the character yet, so pairing the two up again, in whichever series, will most certainly be welcome.

These are just a few of our thoughts on how the Marvel/Netflix universe could progress after Luke Cage season two, got any suggestions of your own? Leave us a comment.
