Mentioned by Wayne then repeated by Joan, these 4 Ps, also known as the Marketing Mix, truly represent the new style of business at the end of the 60s in New York, leading more towards the global market that we know today. Do they show that SC&P might be part of a dying breed of ad agencies, or perhaps that people like Joan, without any recognisable 'qualifications' in the subject, might be getting out of their depth?
14. "My Next House ... Our Next House"
Perhaps another clue as to Don and Megan's future, as well as their recent past since we last saw them, comes in Megan's awkward mentioning of a swimming pool, wanting one in "my next house ... our next house". So will Don be moving to Los Angeles to join Megan or will her acting career, for one reason or another, come to an abrupt stop?
13. Megan Reads Playboy
There's no guarantee that she actually reads it, but, whether she bought it for him or not, Megan is happy leaving her hubby with an issue of Playboy, fully aware that he's not only interested in the advertising that lies between its covers. This must be a reference to what Megan knows about Don's infidelity, referenced by Don on the plane later, so could she possibly be more open to the idea of an ... open marriage? Probably not. It's just an issue of Playboy. But she does call it one of her magazines.
