Maisie Williams Confirms A Character's Return For Game Of Thrones Season 6
This person is not no one. [Spoilers]
We've already had Bran Stark return to our screens in Game of Thrones Season 6, but what about his younger brother?
Rickon hasn't been seen since he and Osha headed off to Last Hearth back in Season 3, but now Maisie Williams has let slip that the character will indeed be returning this year. Asked by a fan during an appearance on Radio 1, she answered:
"Yes? Maybe?Yes, we will indeed."
Quickly realising her mistake, Williams followed up by saying: "Oh no, I'm literally going to get off the air and someone's going to email me."
The idea of Rickon Stark returning is one that has been around a while now, after actor Art Parkinson was spotted on set last year along with Natalie Tena (Osha). That was reaffirmed by the trailers, which showed the return of House Umber, where Rickon is supposedly being kept safe.
Instead, as the trailer hinted at and the previous episode, Home, revealed, they've pledged their loyalty to House Bolton, and the strong likelihood is that Rickon will end up being presented toRamsay as a way of helping him secure the North now that Sansa has fled.
I'll admit that I had actually thought this was already confirmed news, but it's good to know for certain that he is coming back, and doesn't really spoil anything given it seemed pretty obvious. We're now one step closer to that big, happy Stark family reunion...
