Malcolm In The Middle Cast: Where Are They Now?

Malcolm in the Middle first aired in 2000, meaning that it's been a little over two decades since we first met the fast-talking, slightly annoying boy genius and his hilariously dysfunctional family.

The show gave us a platform to watch a much more realistic sort of traditional family, where brothers fight like animals and the only person who manages to maintain some semblance of control is their highly strung mother.

The show not only boasted a host of incredible performances by its main cast, but a range of quirky and diverse guest stars that made for an unforgettable experience that still draws fans in today.

Given that the show's run ended in 2006, there has been plenty of time for its cast to move on to pastures new, and they most certainly have done that.

Unlike most popular sitcoms, the actors who made this show what it was didn't all go on to Hollywood superstardom, but instead explored a whole range of different avenues.

So, 14 years after the final episode, let's take a look at where the stars of Malcolm in the Middle are now.

Emy Coligado appeared in 28 episodes as Piama Tananahaakna, Francis' wife.

She was fiery and more than a little reminiscent of Lois, acting as the living embodiment of Francis' mother issues. Moreover, she was lovable and entertaining, and was able to convincing take a place amongst one of TV's most dysfunctional families with ease.

Since appearing on Malcolm in the Middle, Coligado has made appearances in shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Chuck and the US version of Shameless, as well as a role in 2012's The Three Stooges.

Sadly, all of these roles were pretty small, and Malcolm in the Middle seems to have been a peak for Coligado. At least she's still acting, though, which is more than we can expect from many of the entries on this list.
