Although not a main character, Darryl does appear a fair bit throughout the series (building on a very minor role from Luke Cage), and play an important part in the narrative towards the end when he stabs Danny.

Until that point, however, and indeed even after it, he's really hard to care about. First meeting him as one of Colleen's students, and then later again at Bakuto's compound, he's a mixture of a character who is both quite dull and also a bit of a dick.

He's obviously a troubled kid, but since we don't get to see any of that really play out, he's just something with an attitude problem who pops up every now and then to be irritating.
