Marvel's Iron Fist: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best

13. Danny Rand

Danny Rand is the titular character of the show, and therein lies one of the major issues with the entire series.

Regardless of whether or not you think they were right to stick to the comics and cast a white guy in the role, there's no doubt after watching that they cast the wrong white guy.

As played by Finn Jones, Rand is a petulant, immature man-child who seems incredibly ill-fitting of the title 'Sworn Enemy of the Hand'. He starts off as irritating and selfish, and his repeated attempts to get into Rand and convince the Meachums of who he is make him seem like an idiot.

Those aren't character traits he moves away from too much, but they're coupled with a lack of skill in the fight sequences, a seeming reluctance (and later an actual inability) to use the Iron Fist, an impulsive nature, and the fact he's a charisma vacuum. He might play well (or at least better) in The Defenders, where he'll have far less to do, but it'll take some convincing after this.
