Marvel's Jessica Jones: 5 Ways Kilgrave Could Return In Season 2

3. The Character Lingers In Jessica's Mind

One of the most revolutionary things about Jessica Jones was, of course, that it followed a protagonist living with post-traumatic stress disorder. It depicted mental health issues in a comic book context more explicitly than Daredevil, and indeed, drew plaudits from multiple campaigners and outlets because of it. It would be likely, then, to suspect that we'll be seeing a renewed depiction of Jessica's mental health in the next season.

If Kilgrave is featuring prominently, however, then we'd wager that Jessica has still been left reeling from the events of the first season, and that his presence - while eliminated in a physical sense - persists mentally.

That'd be a huge loss for the character, who seemed to have tied up (snapped?) all the loose ends when she dealt the killing blow to Tennant's villain back in the finale. It could be the likeliest course of action, however, if the show's unwilling to tread too heavily into sci-fi territory.
