Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2 Review: 6 Ups And 4 Downs

1. It's Too Long, AKA Netflix Bloat

A familiar, persistent problem rears its head once again with Jessica Jones Season 2: there just isn't enough story to fill the number of episodes it has.

It's ok for the pacing to be slow in order to dive into the characters and have a slow-burn mystery, but that necessitates some direction and at least a degree of plot propulsion, which this is lacking in. Had it been somewhere around the 8-10 episode mark then a lot of fat could, in theory, have been trimmed, and we'd be looking at a much tighter, more cohesive and ultimately exciting show to watch.

Instead, it's another Netflix show that doesn't live up to its full potential largely because of some apparent need to be 13 episodes.
