Marvel's Luke Cage: 10 Things That Must Happen In Season 2
1. Daughters Of The Dragon
Misty Knight was by far the best thing about Luke Cage. There, I said it.
Simone Missick was just plain perfect as the NYPD officer, nailing the character instantly and in turn endearing her to an entire audience. Pretty much every Misty-less scene was a bummer - she should just be in everything really.
Thankfully the prospect for more Knight screen time is increasing by the day, as Netflix are introducing her partner in crimefighting - Colleen Wing - to Iron Fist next year. You know what that means? Daughters of the Dragon. Hell. Yes.
For the uninitiated, the Daughters of the Dragon is the name attributed to the crimefighting duo of Colleen Wing and Misty Knight, and it's safe to say the series found a loyal following. I mean, there aren't really that many women-oriented superhero duos, let alone any in live-action, so it's about time they got the Netflix treatment, especially if Marvel are serious about making their universe an ultimately more representative place to invest in.
The link between Cage and Iron Fist was already established through Clair nabbing an advert for martial arts lessons from none other than Wing herself. Add that to growing calls on social media for a DOTD spin-off, and you can see why Marvel might be wanting to lay the ground for such a thing in Cage's second season.
