Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best
12. Claire Temple
It's a shame to rank Claire Temple so low, but the character is treated in such a disappointing way in Luke Cage season 2. Like Nick Fury on the big screen, Claire was the glue that held the Defenders together and helped unite them when New York needed them. Again like Fury, though, now Claire's role in the franchise is done, it looks like she's going to be quietly retired.
Rosario Dawson only appears in the first three episodes of this season before she splits from Luke due to his growing anger issues. Mike Colter and Dawson sell the heck out of their break-up scene but it still feels like Claire is being artificially written out because either the writers didn't know what to do with her or Dawson had scheduling conflicts.
What makes it worse is that the actress has suggested this is her last appearance in the MCU. If this does turn out to be the case, this is a sad, underwhelming ending for the Night Nurse.
