7. The Team Behind Daredevil Are Running It

Jessica Jones may have been amazing, but Daredevil is just the best. On the page and off.

And so it's pretty awesome to hear, then, that the duo behind the show's second season are presiding over The Defenders as well. Doug Petrie may now have departed the series, but the story was made with both his and Marco Ramirez's heavy influence, which is plenty of reason to be excited.

Indeed, while season two of Daredevil may have lagged in parts (a trend seemingly symptomatic of the Netflix model) it more than made up for it in action, character, and cameos. Most importantly, however, it took Matt, Foggy and Karen to an altogether different kind of destination than most were originally expecting - something that's bound to come into play in The Defenders' opening moments.

It would be very surprising indeed if we weren't left with a very different looking pocket of the MCU by the time the eighth episode's credits close, especially as we gear up for new seasons of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist respectively.
