It may not feel it, when you compare it to how things work on the big screen, but many an episode has passed since we last saw Krysten Ritter's surly P.I. tearing things up in Hell's Kitchen. Many regard the show as the pinnacle of Marvel's various Netflix series' thus far, and while that may even be the case in some regards, the sequel to the character's first season has been given a much longer wait than Daredevil's.
Still, it's brilliant to see the character back in action and bouncing off the other heroes of the MCU. Considering the circumstances we last saw Jessica in however, it's apparent that things might not be as rosy as we all hoped. Kilgrave may be gone, but Jones had to take a life, and it'll be interesting to see how that weighs on the character in The Defenders, especially if those more morally averse to the concept discover what transpired two years ago..

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
