5. Daredevil Vs. The Punisher

Wilson Fisk's escape in the season finale involved the use of several getaway trucks, which featured logos referencing 'Atreus Plastics' and 'Summerville Department Stores' respectively;  both of which tie back to the history of the Punisher.

Atreus Plastics was a corporation in the Marvel Universe which was involved in the creation of high-grade explosives (originally mentioned in Daredevil #184), while 'Summerville' is a reference to Punisher #49, a story which sees Frank Castle rescuing the wife of the CEO of Summerville Department Stores.  Steven S. DeKnight has been quite vocal about his desire to bring Frank Castle to the screen, so it seems unlikely that this was accidental.

The simplest way to introduce the Punisher would be to just go straight to the source and adapt the storyline from Daredevil #184 which sees Frank Castle clashing with Daredevil over his defense of a drug dealer who's pacemaker allowed him to get past Matt Murdock's heightened senses.

The crux of the Punisher/Daredevil relationship has always been the question of where both men draw the line in regards to vigilantism, and Frank Castle would fit in seamlessly with the tone established by the series.
