Marvel's Daredevil: 18 Problems With Season 2

This is a problem that has been often overlooked throughout the entirety of the series existence; how in the hell does Matt Murdock afford his apartment? He’s in Manhattan (albeit a decrepit part – still, residency in Hell’s Kitchen, fictional or otherwise, wouldn’t be cheap) and his apartment is admittedly awesome.

It’s been a running theme that Matt and Foggy are broke. They may have a plethora of clients but they’re getting paid in currency such as bananas and pies, which only pay the rent if your landlord is Donkey Kong.

Still, Matt’s always in a tailored suit, looks a million bucks (except for all the cuts/bruises you get from brawling every night) and appears as if he would smell great (or at least have real soft hair). Bananas and pies aren’t paying for that apartment.

Unless he’s selling them? Are black market bananas worthy of punishment?
