Marvel's Daredevil: 18 Problems With Season 2
11. Second Act Lull
After all the conundrum of battling, bartering and breaking down barriers with The Punisher, the season then introduces the most important woman in Matt Murdock’s life: Elektra.
Her portrayal, design and mixture of confidence and vulnerability all spoke true to the core of the character (I wish Frank Miller would give this show a chance but I wouldn’t hold my breath) but after feeling the force of nature that was Frank Castle, Elektra’s introductory episode in the mid-season was a little too much of a breather.
Obviously, audiences need the chance soak in everything they have just witnessed but going from the heart-wrenching confessions of Castle in the cemetery to Matt and Elektra’s cat-and-mouse relationship seemed to be more of a step back than a step forward in terms of ‘must see’ television.
Or course, the show corrected itself hastily but you cannot deny that Frank’s boots were initially a little too big to fill and word is that ninjas generally have tiny feet
