Marvel's Daredevil Season 2: 10 Ups And 2 Downs

9. Courtroom Drama

One thing that would've been good to see in Season 1 was some proper courtroom drama, showing Nelson & Murdock in action. There wasn't enough shown of that side of things, and it's something they rectify here as we get to see a proper trial unfold.

It helps that the trial in question is of Frank Castle, a rather unique and compelling case, but just including these scenes anyway are a welcome addition. With Making A Murderer and The People v O.J. Simpson being big hits this year courtroom dramas are very much 'in', and Daredevil puts its own particular spin on this here.

There's some superb grandstanding from both prosecution and defence, the drama of a witness' testimony being thrown out, and then Frank going full-crazy and declaring himself guilty. It adds something different to the show, and another layer to the Nelson & Murdock storyline, and it definitely works here.
