Marvel's Daredevil Season 2: 10 Ups And 2 Downs
10. Foggy Stepping Up
Foggy was a fun character in Season 1, a bit more comic relief to the dark and serious tone of the rest of the series. He had some tension with Matt, but it was all resolved by the end.
In Season 2 he gets a lot more to do, and it's definitely for the better of the character and the show. He still has some moments where he's the one providing the humour, but it's less of an on-the-nose parallel this time around as he comes into his own.
He's now the protector of Matt's secret, lying to Karen about Matt's whereabouts, while standing up to his friend and his behaviour more this time around. He does his own digging and puts himself in danger, as witnessed by going to the Dogs of Hell. And most of all, he shows himself to be a fine lawyer, carrying Nelson & Murdock when his partner goes missing, and ultimately striking out on his own.
Where this will lead to in Season 3 (because that's surely just a formality now) is unclear, although it does tie the character into Jessica Jones as well as Daredevil, but for this season he was certainly a much more rounded character, and better as a result.
