Marvel's Daredevil Season 2: 10 Ups And 2 Downs
5. Fight Choreography
One thing everyone agreed on about Season 1 was that the action scenes were fantastic. There was the much-lauded one-shot fight at the end of Episode 2, Cut Man, but that was just the standout amongst many stellar moments.
The question, then, was could they top it in Season 2? The answer is a resounding yes. There's the one that will provide the most obvious talking point, and that's the staircase fight scene in Episode 3, New York's Finest. It was bigger, longer, and crazier, with a chain-wielding Daredevil tearing through his enemies but taking a heavy dose of punishment himself. It's intense, it's brutal, and it's an incredible 10 minutes or so of television, standing as one of the finest fight scenes you're likely to see on the small screen.
It was the standout, but certainly not the only one. A mirror to this can be found with The Punisher's prison block efforts, faced with seemingly insurmountable odds he wins, and does so in devastating manner. Then there are all the fight scenes involving Daredevil, Elektra, and the Hand, because if there was one thing needed to kick the action scenes into an even higher gear, it was ninjas. Maybe they did get a little repetitive by the 4th time it was happening, but it was still fun to watch.
