Marvel's Jessica Jones: Everything You Need To Know

2. The Comic Book Creative Team Are Involved

More so than any of the other comic being adapted for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jessica Jones seemed made for a TV outing. Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage are all characters that have been around for decades. That means, like the movie characters, there's a lot of work put into trimming the fat and making stories suitable for live-action. Alias, meanwhile, is a relatively recent series that ran for a finite number of issues, with the same creative team throughout, and an easy, singular voice to adapt. Alias writer Brian Michael Bendis is inspired more by TV and theatre than other comic books, meaning his dialogue (expletive-filled though it is) can basically be lifted word-for-word. No word on whether Bendis himself will be involved with Jessica Jones €“ he's probably got his hands full with his superhero-cop-drama Powers being adapted by Sony €“ but David Mack, the painter who produced covers for the original Alias series, is also going to be working on the opening titles for Jessica Jones. So somebody's looking out for his baby.
