9. She's An Ex-Super Hero, Current Private Eye

As with Daredevil, Jessica Jones is the sort of character that hasn't really been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. All the movie characters are big, iconic sorts €“ even Tony Stark isn't all that troubled compared to the head of Alias Investigations. In fact, Jessica Jones might be the first MCU star who's already over superherodom. That's if they follow the source material, anyway. In the comic book Alias that Jessica Jones is being adapted from, the private investigator is a retired superhero, who used to go by the name of Jewel and managed to team up with some Marvel heavy hitters on occasion. Also: she went to school with Peter Parker and had a crush on him. The latter point is unlikely to come up thanks to Spidey's reinvention as a high school student once more in the MCU, but Jessica's past almost certainly will. Whilst she's not as powerful as she used to be (and that's a plot point in and of itself), the lingering super strength and flying abilities certainly help out in her PI work.
