Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
3. Kilgrave Returns...?
There have been subtle whispers (and not so subtle set photos) that confirm David Tennant is reprising his role as Kilgrave in season two. For obvious reasons for those who watched season one, he's not coming back. Barring some magic or hand-wave science of massive and fantastical proportions, Kilgrave is long gone. More than likely, however, his presence stays, since - though this is a subject seldom tackled by television, let alone superhero shows - PTSD doesn't just magically go away, even when you get closure, or “defeat” the source of your trauma.
Whatever Jessica discovers in her quest to find answers about her origins may trigger some incredibly vivid episodes, which would warrant Tennant coming back in a very visible way. Another likelihood in his return is that he features in Jessica's nightmares, or in flashbacks of her memory that might give more context to her past.
Whatever the case, there's no denying that Tennant's Kilgrave was one of the most interesting and terrifying aspects of season one, and the actor himself is so well-loved and praised for his performance that fans will welcome his return in the upcoming season—however that might come to be.
