Marvel's The Punisher Season 2: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
8. Amy Bendix
The plot of this season is essentially "Hey, what if we did Logan, but for Frank Castle?"
Much like the acclaimed X-Men movie, it's the tale of an embittered old hero who is dragged back into the line of duty to protect his surrogate daughter from harm. Unfortunately, Amy isn't as cool as X-23, though she does improve across the season.
Due to the season kicking off by building up Frank's relationship with Beth instead, the camaraderie between Frank and Amy takes a while to grow. And then, just when we start to feel that the pair have connected, Amy is relegated to sitting in the trailer with Curtis or even going missing for whole episodes as the plot requires.
It's basically only due to the work of Bernthal and Giorgia Whigham that the father/child connection between them is felt at all. The scene in the finale where they part ways is genuinely moving. Otherwise, Amy is another victim of how awkwardly season 2 spins its various plates.
