4. Daredevil: Season 2

Following the incredible acclaim of the first season, the second season of Daredevil arrived in 2016 to a more tempered response. Though everyone seems to agree that the first couple episodes dealing directly with Frank Castle's emergence are incredible, once he's captured and Elektra and The Hand enter the picture, the show lost steam, undone by too many narrative threads working in service of building to The Defenders.

That said, it's not as though the Punisher plotline disappears from the season, which is wonderful, as Jon Bernthal delivered from beginning to end, stealing the season thanks to his phenomenal work in scenes like the graveyard talk with Matt or when he's put on the stand in his trial. And that's not even a knock against Charlie Cox, who continued to portray Matt Murdock perfectly, the character still a fantastic addition to the MCU.

Even discounting all The Hand stuff, there's still a whole lot to love about the show's second season, from the surprise - and welcome - return of Wilson Fisk, complete with backstory about what he'd been up to since his incarceration at the end of season one, and more time with characters like Claire and Stick.

And, of course, there were the phenomenal fight scenes, like the stairwell fight or Frank's brutal brawl in the cell block, which really upped the ante from the first season, all adding up to an imperfect but still highly entertaining sophomore outing for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
